This Ministry began as a result of the prayers of yielded disciples of Christ who are committed to the Great Commission of reaching the uttermost parts of the world with the Word of God and manifesting the power of God to heal, save and deliver; strategically positioned to feel the pains and agony of the hurting people, the oppressed, the drug addicts, alcoholics and sexually abused people in the society.
This Ministry in 1991 had a mandate to PREACH THE ACCEPTABLE YEAR OF THE LORD, but went into partnership with other ministries where it planted seeds prayed and lifted up the activities of these ministries, doing whatever it could to serve, and to assist in the accomplishment of their vision. The vision of this Ministry, as it were, died completely so that it could spend all its time helping to bring about the success of the vision of these other ministries. Through partnership, the Lord prepared this Ministry in His secret chambers of faithfulness and brought it out again in 1998 by the promptings of the Holy Spirit to take up the mandate for active service. This proves that God's men and their jobs are usually prepared in the secret chambers before they are hatched and introduced to the world. Infact, the name VITUS is true of the mission, nature and character of this Ministry, which says in Latin, “INHABITAT IN ME VIRTUS CHRISTI”, meaning, "that the power of Christ may rest upon me” (2Cor.12:9b).
This Ministry then began to write articles and materials for publication to different Ministries that publish magazines and letters especially at the time when almost the world and indeed the Church is steeped in apostasy, idolatry and rebellion against God's avowed Word. With such in the heart, the Ministry knew that resistance to tyranny is obedience to God which motivated it to move forward. As this was going on, the Lord brought to minded again of the first call in a dream or what can be called a face-to-face encounter. The world was shown to as a mountain upon which it will climb and win souls for Christ. It was then understood that life is worth living only to the extent that it is lived to the service of God and humanity. The hour came when Church attendants were decreasing as many people stay away from God or attend Church services aimlessly, deciding not to decide, which is an unhealthy decision. This was a big a trouble which occasioned an earnest prayer as prayed like Caleb, “Lord, give me this mountain!” The Lord heard, and this prayer point became the caption of the first Magazine ever printed by this Ministry in 1998.
As God's instrument for the hour, Fire-Brand Int'l Ministries has stood alone with God. It faithfully stuck to the message of God and decided to be different from the erring masses in society. This has fearlessly declared the intension to serve God and uphold the truth of the Gospel - what an indictment to the believers in other ministries today! This is challenge from God for all of us to stand alone with Him in the face of opposition, persecution, ridicule, threat and victimization.
It is not surprising to see a Ministry whose survival in the times of lack was providential. It trusted God for supernatural provision in difficult times, especially when the supposed strong, human financiers were down in their daily supplies. This did not deter the FIREBRAND but it moved forward by the special grace of God.

Seeing that the whole world is plunged into activities that excludes God and dishonours His name and with Church attendance decreasing with an alarming rate, as many people stay away from Church Services and are only seen once in a while when there are social celebrations that begins with thanksgiving service in the Church, God mandated the FIRE-BRAND to stand in the gap. Like every other instrument in the hand of God, the FIR-BRAND got worried that the primary interest of some huge congregations today is practically "social” with attendants exchanging hearty greetings at the end of the service and then move to the feasting places, and still remain untouched as they keep away from service in other days. The Church, while not identical with the Kingdom of God, is a present manifestation of it. The Kingdom of God will be consummated when Christ comes again.
Eternal life: We believe that eternal life begins here in this world, when one comes into a transforming, saving knowledge of Jesus Christ. It means also life after death for all ages to come. Eternal life further means a certain kind of life, a quality of life which God imparts to those who become children of God. Those who have rejected Christ as Savior and Lord are eternally separated from Christ; and thus are excluded from the everlasting bliss reserved for those who have accepted the love and forgiveness of God, revealed in Christ.
